Silent Hill: The Fog World

I am sure this had been said before, obviously, about why the Fog World exists and what it is for. (Not only that it exists in Silent Hill, but in general ) I think that it exists because it is the lubrication.

Which is?  Transition! Transition. Water made it easier to shift worlds.  The Fog World would help one transition, lube them up for travel, literally and figuratively ( one can be readied in many ways) .  It is there as the last level of protection from the elements of the real world and the otherworld. The world between worlds.

It moves, it crawls, it drapes but it ALWAYS moves

What is fog?

Fog is a collection of water droplets or ice crystals suspended in the air at or near the Earth’s surface. While fog is a type of a cloud, the term “fog” is typically distinguished from the more generic term “cloud” in that fog is low-lying, and the moisture in the fog is often generated locally (such as from a nearby body of water, like a lake or the ocean, or from nearby moist ground or marshes).Fog is distinguished from mist only by its density, as expressed in the resulting decrease in visibility: Fog reduces visibility to less than 1 km (5/8 statute mile), whereas mist reduces visibility to no less than 1 km (5/8 statute mile). What is the symbolism of Fog?

It covers up reality… or so we think.

Psychological Meaning: You are not seeing things as they really are. You may be disorientated in waking life and have lost your sense of direction. It is time to finish with this foggy thinking. Be clear about what you want and what direction you want your life to take. Deliberate decisiveness will improve your inner clarity.

Mystical Meaning: If the fog is thick, this is a very bad omen say the dream oracles, but if you dream of it clearing you will have great success.

fog distorts and can be used to hide in. it’s also a symbol of how black and white can be blurred to a foggy grey, life is not as simple as it seems, especially in the darkness.

represents a sense of being lost and confused. Of not knowing where you are going. Fog can also symbolize the realm of the unconscious, which you may be exploring or attempting to navigate

So we can easily say fog is water in a different form. 

Now, let us look at the different symbolism of water.

purity and fertility – source of life
symbolism of circulation, life, cohesion and birth by associating the creative waters of the earth with the fluids found in our own body (i.e., blood, our own water).
water is the epitome symbol for metamorphosis and philosophical recycling. everything comes from water and returns to it.

the condition of having been made smooth or slippery by the application of a lubricant, to make transition easier.

This “lube” Fog World may not appear many times and one would find themselves easily in the Otherworld, easily skipping the world between worlds. However, one
would only need small contact with WATER any form of it, for the gears to start rolling.  And some parts of the Otherworld are one’s own reflection and that of others, water is key in reflections.  The fog world is that protective membrane, giving someone a chance to stop and reflect after they’ve tired themselves from the endless wandering ( NOT SAYING IT IS THE SAFETY OF ALL SAFETY- there are dangers in fog no fooling)  Fog World just makes one ready to  easily land in another type of hell.

Aomi Appearances in Games

There are games out there where one can customize their character
and I want most characters I play to look like my character, Aomi.
However, there are some limits as to what I can use to customize
to make the character look like Aomi.
I will list what types of Aomi designs I’ve used in games.

1. The IDEAL Aomi. ( if ever possible)
Hair: teal bangs, rest of hair is black.
Eyes: Cyan/aqua
Skin: WHITE with three black stripes on hips.
Lipstick(for female): violet or black
Eyeshadow(for female): pink,red, black
Clothes: anything red
cat ears and fox tail? if able yes, white with black tips.
basically the above would be an Aomi in complete Aomi get-up in a game.

If the above doesn’t work out there are other ways to make an Aomi.
Below are what Aomi’s appearances might be from what options I am usually given any one of the below
can be a mix and match.

Hair colour:
1.  all black.
2.  all white.
3. all  teal
4.  all cyan
5. all grey
6. or a mix & match of the four (highlights/shades,etc)

Eye colour:
1.blue.
2.green.
3.black.
4.white.
5.grey.
6. blue-green coloured eyes.
7. teal
or one blue eye one green eye.
or one black eye one white eye.

Skin colour:
1.White.
2.PALE white- yellow.
3.very very light pink/peach tone.
4.(RARELY) all black skin ( think obsidian).
5.all grey ( not a dark grey ).
6.very pale cyan colour.

Clothes colour: basically anything red
teal,black,grey,blue,green.

Lipstick (for female):
1.dark pink.
2.pink.
3.violet.
4.black.
5.teal.

Eyeshadow (for female):
1.pink.
2.red.
3.black.
4.violet.
6.teal.

Blood and Sparkles

Ha! I have not written in a while probably because I am not sure what to go on about.
In this case I think I will sort through certain thoughts about character developement and projects.
For current projects, of course it is all Aomi related, I want to make certain kinds of jewelry, charms, figurines
consisting of sparkles, rainbow sparkles, glow in the dark stuff and the colours of black, cyan, teal, turquoise.
I went back through a lot of my descriptions from way back, nearly 1999-04 era–for pictures and footnotes about Aomi’s personality and her/his abilities.

I literally laughed out loud when I had said that Aomi’s black hair, the tips of his/her ears and tail behave like a morphing substance, such as the hair getting super super long and whipping around or behaving like tentacles, or the black tips of the tail hardening to become a bludgeon or shooting spikes. And because Aomi has kitsune traits Aomi also has an orb/spirit ball/sphere/ morph ball which changes forms and stores energy, etc.

I also want to make more of the occult symbols,seals and runes. Probably focus more on the three triangles and three tripes, the three triangles representing the black tips of Aomi’s tail & ears and the three stripes being those three stripes that sprout from the small of his/he back and hug his/her hips.

I’d rip out the first two letters of Aomi, Ao which means blue.

So with enough mix & matching I made Aoenru. For now Aoenru is the name of the alphabet/runes/writing symbols
I had created waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back almost around 1997. Aoenru will also be a name for another fiasco, I’m thinking a city or something close to Aomi.

I also want to explain more about back story, personality,and abilities. I even realized when I made Aomi shapeshift into certain forms, there were spots! So haha not only does Aomi sport stripes she/he also has spots!

For a while now I was fascinated with blood colour.
I figured with Aomi’s bizarre demonic abilities such as shapeshifting-essence warping-morphing,etc etc that her/his DNA colour could change too. Shadow Demons are weird huh? It wouldn’t be like a rainbow of colours, just the default, red…and then the other colours like cyan, black and white. I think the colour of the blood would change based on magic activity and stresses upon the body.

Red & Cyan & White for the fey/divine (fairies/angels/unicorn/elf) forms.
Black & Red for the demonic/human(those on the “wrong side of the tracks”.

As for the other characters I am researching here and there about different horoscopes/zodiacs and personality trait profiles, looking into mythologies and folklore and meanings about colours & various things like gems and animals, etc just to get a general grasp. I am also working on fixing up a family tree.

The Aomi Armster Doll 2

On April 17th 2007– I had posted the original Aomi Doll. ( http://aomiarmster.livejournal.com/9296.html )
and now this is about the NEW Aomi Doll made back in July 21st 2007, lol.

So yes, this is a 9 inch doll–but counting the ears, its a nice 10inch.
The base is an Obitsu, the ears & tail were made out of a TOWEL O_O not a sock! ( i rerooting aomi’s hair) like actually stabbed in EACH STRAND. Aomi’s hair is the same yarn I used to make the old doll’s hair, and yes, the new doll doesn’t have pupils.( so yes, sometimes there are pupils and sometimes there are not) It is almost an unknown thing, Aomi is really BLIND ( there is a reason for his/her huge ears) and Aomi’s hair ( though it is usually seen drawn straight/curlyish) Aomi actually has ‘dreds’ like his mother, Aoxi.

So yeah, it is the NEW Aomi doll, flashing a boobie, a dainty booby & a soft perky pink nipple. (whoa that felt weird to describe) I don’t know what drove me to take a picture of the doll this way… -__-;

ANYHOOO.
This is an obitsu 23cm doll thinger with a paint on face thingie
she was a ‘white’ toned doll but when i began painting, well duh, Aomi Armster has WHITE skin, so it made the base doll’s skin look like a TAN. -_-; My only worry is that the paint would chip off–I’ve never worked with the kind of plastic that the obitsu doll is made of.

AND THIS DOLL WAS A HIDEOUS BITCH TO WORK WITH
painting things white is a pain in the ass
and it doesn’t help that the doll is fragile in this state
oh well…
and because of this doll’s fragile-state, when Aomi Doll is not in use
she/he will hybernate in a shoebox (until i can get a bloody doll case!!!)

This Aomi doll is wearing my barbie’s pajama’s coz at the moment I can’t make Aomi’s outfits, I’m too frazzled by the experience of being “god” for 5 days & 1 week.

everything was made from scratch other than the doll base itself but..everything else was out of my own doing.

Both Aomi Dolls’ eyes glow in the dark. I’m proud of this thing..both of them, as i said , it is a dream of mine to have a 3D aomi, be it a physical one or a graphic aomi.

I’m looking for some doll cases… the other one I originally had .. apparently is too small for this doll –i forgot to take in account of Aomi’s ears o_o; that has added to the height of the doll! *WAILS*

So yeah, all the Aomi Armster trademarks are here, cyan eyes, turqoise bangs, black hair, white ears that are black tipped just like the tail, three black stripes on hips, etc oh and SUPPOSEDLY NAKED.

As far as what outfits I want to make for this new doll, it is up to debate, obviously i’m going for the red theme as usual, maybe a kimono of some sort, long knee-high red socks, the works. But, we’ll see
